Trinity Christian School is a ministry of Trinity Lutheran Church, dedicated to providing a Christ-centered, Bible-based environment. The School is committed to academic excellence while instilling in each child the necessary moral, ethical, and spiritual values necessary for Christian growth.

The educational philosophy of Trinity Christian School is based on our Statement of Faith, below. All truth is God’s truth. God created all things and sustains all things, consequently true knowledge can only be understood when one understands it in the context of knowing its Creator.

The school’s aim socially is to provide a Christian world view from which will come a balanced personality and proper understanding and acceptance of a person’s role in life at home, at work, at play, and at worship.

Energies are focused on the promotion of high academic standards while helping students achieve skills in creative and critical thinking, using the best integrated curriculum available.

Trinity’s responsibility encompasses the whole student: his spiritual, mental, intellectual, physical, and emotional growth.

We believe the Bible is the only inspired, infallible, authoritative, inerrant Word of God (2 Timothy 3:15; 2 Peter 1:21).

We believe there is only one God, eternally existent in three persons – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Genesis 1:1; Matthew 28:19; John 10:30).

We believe in the deity of Christ (John 10:33); His virgin birth (Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:23 Luke 1:35); His sinless life (Hebrews 4:15; 7:26); His miracles (John 2:11); His vicarious and atoning death (1 Corinthians 15:3; Ephesians 1:7; Hebrews 2:9); His resurrection (John 11:25; 1 Corinthians 15:4); His ascension to the right hand of the Father (Mark 16:19); His personal return in power and glory (Acts 1:11; and Revelation 19:11).

We believe that man is born with a sin nature, so spiritual regeneration for salvation is a necessity. Man is justified by faith in the shed blood of Christ. Salvation comes only by God’s grace and through faith (James 3:1-19; 5:24; Romans 3:23; 5:8-9; Ephesians 2:9-10; Titus 3:5).

We believe in the resurrection of the saved to eternal life, and the lost to damnation (John 5:28-29).

We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 8:9; 1 Corinthians 12:12-13; Galatians 3:26-28).

We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life (Romans 8:13-14; 1 Corinthians 3:1A; 6:19-20; Ephesians 4:30; 5:1B).

The following goals are based on NINE years’ attendance at Trinity Christian School:

  1. To teach a Biblical perspective…
    • That the Bible is the inspired and only infallible, authoritative Word of God (2 Timothy 3:15-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21).
    • What Godly character qualities are, with opportunities for the student to demonstrate these qualities (1 Samuel 16:7; Galatians 5:22,23).
    • How to develop the mind of Christ toward godliness (Philippians 2:5; 1 Timothy 4:7).
  2. To help the student become a man or woman of God…
    • Providing opportunities for the student to confess Christ as Savior and Lord (Romans 10:9,10).
    • By encouraging the student to develop self-discipline and responsibility from God’s perspective (1 Timothy 4:7; 1 Corinthians 9:24-27).
    • By helping the student understand the necessity of respect for and submission to authority from God’s perspective (Romans 13:1-7; Hebrews 13:17; Ephesians 6:1-3).
    • By teaching the student to develop a Christian world view by integrating life, and all studies, with the Bible (2 Peter 1:3).
    • By enabling the student to keep God’s Word in his heart through memorization and meditation (Psalm 119:11; Psalm 1:103).
  3. To encourage the student to attain his fullest potential…
    • By helping him develop his identity in Christ as a unique individual created in the image of God (Psalm 139:13-16).
    • By teaching him to treat everyone with love and respect as unique individuals created in God’s image (Philippians 2:1-4; Ephesians 5:21).
    • By showing how to become a contributing member of his society by realizing his need to serve others (Galatians 5:13; Romans 2:10).
    • By instructing in physical fitness, good health habits, and wise use of the body as the temple of God (1 Corinthians 6:19,20).
    • By modeling Biblical attitudes toward material things and his responsibility for using them to God’s glory (1 Timothy 6:17-19; Matthew 6:19-20; 1 Corinthians 10:31).
  4. To enable students to develop their thinking and reasoning skills…
    • By helping them understand and use the fundamental processes in communicating and dealing with others (such as reading, writing, speaking, listening, and mathematics) (2 Corinthians 5:20).
    • By encouraging them to use good study skills / habits (2 Timothy 2:3-7).
    • By instructing how to research and to reason logically from a Biblical perspective (Hebrews 5:14; Romans 12:2).
    • By encouraging good citizenship through an understanding and appreciation of our Christian and American heritage (home, church, nation) (1 Corinthians 10:11; Romans 13:1-7).
  5. To help parents…
    • By cooperating with them in every phase of the student’s development, especially as it relates to the school program (Mark 10:45).
    • By assisting them in understanding the school’s purpose and program.
    • By helping them understand changing culture issues and their implications for the future.
    • By encouraging them to realize and shoulder their responsibility for the spiritual, moral, and social education of their students (Deuteronomy 6:4-7; Proverbs 22:6).

The Association of Christian Schools, International provides a host of benefits for Christian schools. Their legal assistance keeps us from legal red tape and restrictions. They provide a standard for accreditation programs.

As a member school, we will benefit from yearly teachers and administrators conferences, printed materials, testing materials, in-service training tapes, speakers, as well as speech, music, science fair and athletic competition programs. Part of the registration fee covers membership in ACSI.

In accord with the requirements set forth in IRB No. 1975-49, dated December 8, 1975, Trinity Christian School therefore announces the following policy:
